Support for Business – in Milton Keynes, Luton and Northampton area

We’re passionate about delivering “real and meaningful” business support to individuals and businesses who are looking to start, run or grow their businesses.

When we spotted an opportunity to do just that, we had to go for it. Velocity Growth Hub (now known as the SEMLEP Growth Hub), part of the South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership (SEMLEP) awarded us a contract to attract, engage and support 150 businesses - helping them to become more robust, sustainable and grow.

With a little under 6 months of delivery, we quickly recognised it may be a challenge. However, “collaboration not competition” is a motto of ours and we quickly set about creating an enthusiastic network of referral partners, collaborators and supporters, including the University of Bedfordshire, Institute of Directors, Federation of Small Businesses, Chambers of Commerce and the Natwest Accelerator Hub, who generously offered dedicated event space in which to run our high energy, practical workshops on a full range of business related topic including business modelling, accessing funding and marketing.

As a result we provided over 1,500 hours of 1-2-1 and 1-2-many business advice sessions on a variety of business-related topics, including:

  • Access to funding
  • Intellectual property
  • Company formation
  • Social media
  • Networking
  • Business modelling

SEMLEP is the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) for the South East Midlands which covers Aylesbury Vale, Corby, Daventry, East Northamptonshire, Kettering, Northampton, South Northamptonshire and Wellingborough.
